Cleaning up graduation rates

Hi,

Can you please describe in more detail the process that was used to clean up the graduation rates column? I understand that the median was taken for ranges (ie 61-65 would become 63), but what about for the graduation rates with non-numeric characters (ie GE50 or LE50). Were the nonnumeric characters just removed, or did something else happen as well?
